PRIVACY POLICY

We only process data of individuals who have a direct relationship with the ISA conference: participants and partners of former events. In addition to this policy, we follow Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 (GDPR) 


Along the years, ISA organizers have collected personal data. ISA organizers rely on its legitimate interests to process this data for the sole purpose of keeping you updated about the ISA conference. We do not disclose this data to third parties. If you wish to unsubscribe or remove your email address, please send an email to isa2020@isa2020-lisboa.pt


We ask for certain information such as your name, home institution name, job title, invoicing address, phone number and e-mail address when you register for the conference, or aply to awards. Your home institution name and/or title will be included in our delegate lists and will only be given to speakers/tutors prior to the event to assist in preparation of presentation. Your Name and home Institution Name will also be used for the badge to use during the event. If you wish that your institution name is not included on this list, please let us know and we will not disclose that information.

The ISA website uses cookies to operate and secure our services. The ISA website and social media requires the use of third party service providers (such as Youtube, Google-maps, Twitter, Facebook...). ISA has no control over these tools and services and the data collected by them.
We use the information we collect or receive, such as your email address, to communicate directly with you. We may send you emails containing newsletters, conference updates and early bird offers. If you do not want to receive such email information, you will always be given the option to unsubscribe.
We do not and will not sell, rent or donate any of your information with other parties outside of ISA events. Your information is shared on our internal ISA Database, which is only accessible to those working within our organization. Your information is accessible to ISA organizers and secretariat involved in our conference and awards ceremonies operations. Any information that you have provided through our website, or via email or on the phone is included in our Database and can be shared within the ISA organizers.
In the case where a speaker or chairperson (in this instance a third party) seek a delegate or attendee list of names to enhance the event experience, we will send on your name and company name only. No other contact information is supplied. At any time, you can request that your name and/or company name be not disclosed. ISA organizers’s Privacy Policy does not apply to and we cannot control the activities of above referenced third-parties.


The information is stored on our internal Database (which is password protected) and that is only accessible by accessing company’s server. Our server is only accessible to contracted employees and our outsourced IT Department. Your information is never a part of an out-flow from our company; it is never sent to a third party for processing, marketing and/or any other reasons. Our secretariat/organizer personnel will only use our database in order to send an email promotion of the event. This information might include your institution name, your position in the institution / organisation, your phone number and email address. At any time, you can exercise your option to opt-out of receiving emails. If you do not wish to opt-out but do not want some of your information on our Database, contact us at any time to have any details removed.
You control the amount of information that you provide to us. Under no circumstances are you obligated to provide us with any details, which you do not wish to disclose.
